Corrections Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
News moves fast and mistakes happen. TrendWire's commitment is simple: when we get something wrong, we fix it openly.
How to report an error
Use the Contact page and include the headline of the story and a description of the error. Reports from readers are read by the editorial desk.
What we do
- Verified errors are corrected in the article as soon as they are confirmed.
- Material corrections — anything that changes the meaning of a story — are noted in a labeled "Corrections" box on the story itself, with the date of the correction.
- Minor fixes (spelling, grammar, formatting) are made without a note.
- Seriously flawed stories may be unpublished while they are re-checked, and republished only once they meet our Editorial Policy.
Updates vs. corrections
When a developing story changes because events moved on, that is an update, not a correction, and the article is simply brought current. When the original story itself was wrong, that is a correction and it is labeled as one.
