Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information TrendWire ("we," "us," or "our") collects when you visit this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using TrendWire, you agree to the practices described below.
Information we collect
Reading TrendWire requires no account. We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us:
- Contact form: if you send us a message, we store your name, email address, subject and message in our database so the editorial desk can read and reply to it.
- Newsletter: if you subscribe to the TrendWire Briefing, we store your email address and the time you gave consent. We do not sell or rent subscriber addresses.
- Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and pages viewed, in server logs.
Cookies and advertising
TrendWire itself sets no tracking cookies for readers. (A separate sign-in cookie is used only by our editors to access the admin area.) We plan to serve advertising through Google AdSense; once an AdSense account is approved and configured on this site, Google and its partners may use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and you may disable cookies in your browser at any time; the site remains fully readable without them.
How we use information
- To respond to messages sent through the contact form.
- To send the newsletter to subscribers who consented, and to honor unsubscribe requests.
- To operate, secure and improve the website.
Newsletter unsubscribe
Every subscription record carries a unique unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe at any time on our unsubscribe page. Unsubscribing stops future mailings to that address.
Links to other websites
TrendWire links to external sources and other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.
Children's privacy
TrendWire is a general-audience news service and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us via the Contact page and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
