Cam Skattebo bounces back? Aaron Rodgers a top-12 QB? Don't be surprised!
ESPN's Eric Karabell predicts Aaron Rodgers will finish as a top-12 fantasy QB, Cam Skattebo will bounce back against the Texans, and Jordan Addison will re-emerge as a top-30 receiver in Week 7.
ESPN fantasy analyst Eric Karabell has some bold predictions for Week 7, and they start with two of the NFL's most talked-about players: don't be surprised if Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers finishes as a top-12 fantasy QB, and if Giants running back Cam Skattebo bounces back in a big way.
Rodgers deserves more credit than fantasy managers give him, Karabell writes. The veteran has averaged 20.6 fantasy points over his past four games, even while completing just 61.4% of his passes -- his worst mark since 2015. He is on pace for 660 pass attempts, and with rookie Germie Bernard emerging as a new top target alongside DK Metcalf, Karabell says Rodgers should be rostered in every league. The quarterback's last top-10 fantasy season came in his MVP campaign with the Packers.
As for Skattebo, last week could not have gone worse: six snaps, no touches, and a front-row seat while Tyrone Tracy Jr. scored twice in the Giants' loss to the Saints. But Karabell notes that new coach John Harbaugh has "made his point" with the benching, and predicts Skattebo will run over the Texans for at least 60 total yards and a touchdown this week. The physical back scored seven touchdowns in eight games last season.
Karabell's third "don't be surprised" pick is Vikings receiver Jordan Addison, who is rested after a hamstring injury and a Week 6 bye and remains rostered in just 71.9% of leagues. "You know what to do," he writes.
