Looksmaxxing Influencer Clavicular Pleads Not Guilty Over Alleged Rape of Teenager

Braden Peters, the 20-year-old social media influencer known as Clavicular, has pleaded not guilty to a felony rape charge in court.

Peters, who has more than a million followers on TikTok and Instagram for promoting the 'looksmaxxing' trend — in which young men try to maximise their physical attractiveness — was charged in September. The allegations relate to an incident in 2025 in which he is accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl at his family's home in Chatham.

According to the BBC, a woman told police that on 23 May 2025 Peters ordered her an Uber to the house. The officer who took the report said he believed she was unable to consent because of her age. Peters has denied the allegations, telling authorities the encounter was consensual.

He appeared in court on Thursday, entering a not guilty plea. His next court date is 24 November, when a judge will decide whether there is enough evidence for the case to proceed to trial.

Clavicular has become a controversial figure online. He has admitted using a hammer on his face and jawline and taking steroids and injections in pursuit of his appearance, and he walked a runway at Paris Fashion Week in June 2026.

He has also faced other legal trouble this year. In Florida he was charged after filming himself shooting at what appeared to be an alligator, and in March he was arrested on suspicion of battery after allegedly instigating a fight.
