Oregon State standout WR Legree re-signs with Beavers for '27

Oregon State star freshman Jesse Legree, the nation's leader in receiving yards, told ESPN he is re-signing with the Beavers for the 2027 season.

Oregon State has locked down one of college football's breakout stars. Standout freshman wide receiver Jesse Legree told ESPN he has re-signed with the Beavers for the 2027 season, according to Pete Thamel.

Legree has been the country's most productive pass catcher in 2026. He leads the nation with 1,040 receiving yards and 14 touchdown catches, and he also tops the nation in receiving yards per game. The freshman has caught a touchdown pass in every game, including a 240-yard, two-touchdown explosion against Texas Tech on eight catches.

His rise has been remarkable. Legree arrived at Oregon State as a three-star recruit whom ESPN ranked the No. 89 receiver in his recruiting class. He planned to announce his re-signing at an event at his high school, Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore.

"I fell in love with the culture out there," Legree told ESPN.

The re-signing caps a stunning debut college season for the young receiver, who has become the focal point of the Beavers' offense. Oregon State is riding a five-game winning streak and sits in first place in the Pac-12, with its star wideout now secured for another season.
